7 Part Bi-Monthly Gatherings: February 10th to May 19th
Wednesdays on Zoom (12pm and 5pm with recordings available)
These Bi-Monthly gatherings are a space for the cultivation of the "three jewels" that together inspire transformation: Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. Buddha refers to our essence nature, which we return to as we drop into the stillness of the heart. Dharma refers to the wisdom teachings that point us home towards this essence nature. Sangha is the conscious community that comes together in mutual curiosity and care, as well as all those who have come before us on whose shoulders we stand, and all those who will come after us to continue in the unfolding of truth and love.
Satsang is the space in which these three jewels are celebrated and shared. After a short grounding and centring meditation, I will speak about a theme of practice and insight, followed by a longer meditation to embody this teaching.
My intention for this journey is to walk with you along a feminine path of awakening that points us back again and again to the kernel of growth and expansion that lives within each moment. What this means in practice is learning to recognise where we go to war, and remembering the pointers that return us to presence. It is always a journey that takes us from the reactivity and defence of mental narrative to the transformative alchemy that occurs when we meet whatever is here with love.
Over the seven bi-monthly sessions together we will follow a path that has revealed itself to me through my practice and writing over this last year. We will loosely explore along these lines:
Ultimately, each of the practices are inseparable from the others, but by bringing our attention to every aspect we deepen our capacity to embody them all. In the two weeks in between each gathering, I will invite you to explore again and again how the invitation of these practices can be brought into daily life. Insight is powerful to liberate the mind, but without the application of insight to this moment of vulnerable humanness, there is no alchemy. It is through meeting the friction of life that our soul's radiance shines ever more brightly.
The whatsapp group will allow a continued space for questions, insights and reflections. It is a sacred space, held in a devotional way between us. I will guide you towards embodying the teachings and practices during the weeks in between our gatherings, so that there is integration into daily life. This is the most direct path to insight and transformation.
I offer these satsang gatherings using the Dana system, an ancient method of conscious energetic exchange. Dana is a practice of both giving and receiving. It invites us to experience gratitude, generosity and appreciation, as well as look more closely at feelings of scarcity, motivation, trust and expectation. It allows us to step out of a transaction mindset, one deeply embedded in the question "what can I get from this moment?", and step into a generosity mindset, which invites us to ask "what can I offer to this moment?".
After the satsang, I ask you to reflect on what you received and what you would like to offer in return for the support and teachings you received. I trust you to choose an amount that is appropriate for you and this type of work. I suggest an amount that feels like you are making a dedicated commitment to yourself, the work, and my time and energies.
